About Me

I am someone who has lived many roles—mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, auntie and great-auntie, cousin, friend, mentor, and advocate. I’ve been both a wife and a widow. Each identity has offered me its own lesson in love, resilience, connection, loss, and the sacredness of being in community. These experiences continue to shape the way I show up in the world and in my work.

I am someone who believes deeply in the sacredness of life and in the quiet, steady resilience of the human spirit. As a second-generation Croatian with Scottish roots, I carry a reverence for ancestry, community, and the natural world. These threads guide my steps—with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the many ways a person’s story unfolds. I honor both the strengths we inherit from our lineage and the pain or patterns that call out for healing.

Long before I became a psychotherapist, I was someone who listened closely, witnessed gently, and learned by being present with others. My path through the Healing Arts and Helping Professions has been lifelong—a mosaic of experiences that created a kind of kaleidoscope within me: many colors, many facets, all held together by heart.

I bring my lived experience into the room. I am someone who believes in the healing power of sitting together—to laugh, to cry, to be still, and to mend what needs mending at a pace that feels safe. Today, I am a trauma-informed somatic and art psychotherapist. For nearly two decades, I walked alongside families impacted by trauma through field-based work across Los Angeles County—in homes, schools, and community spaces. That work continues to shape my approach, which now includes in-person sessions in Altadena and telehealth throughout California.

I am someone who knows healing is not a solitary path. We are shaped by those who came before us, the lands that hold us, and the communities that surround us. In our work together, we remember who we are, where we come from, and how to belong—to ourselves, to each other, and to the living world.

My Approach

I take an integrative and systemic approach, honoring how ancestry, family, lineage, culture, and community shape a person's life. Therapy is a collaborative journey where we co-create a path to sustainable well-being.

I approach the therapeutic relationship with curiosity, humility, and my own "thorns of experience," which have gifted me understanding and compassion. Healing trauma begins with building a foundation of safety. Through the mind-heart-body-brain connection, individuals can restore a sense of safety, improve self-esteem, and experience emotional relief.

I support people with current stressors, offering skill-building in stress reduction, emotional regulation, and gaining new perspectives. This work offers a powerful pathway toward wholeness and resilience.
